Latin American Feast

The other day we had our thanksgiving feast of Latin American food in Human Geo class. There was a lot of food and some of it was good , and some of it was bad. haha. It was interesting to see all the different types of foods. It was weird to see people in Latin American countries actually eat this. I made this huge thing of my chicken enchilada dish, and I did not think a lot of people were going to eat it. When I got back at the end of the day all of it was almost gone! I was so surprised, I knew my dish was good, but I didn't expect all of it to be gone. Other than that hopefully I got a good grade. That was a fun day for human geography.

Today's Class 11-18-09

Today in class we just talked. We talked about our next research paper. Ewww! I am glad we get to do it with a partner because it will go alot faster and the paper would be better with two brains than one. I am also excited for the Latin America cook out....if you could call it that. I love to cook Italian food, so I wonder what my food from another country will taste. Haha. Human Geo is so much fun and its hilarious. Besides talking about assignments and food we talked about a extra credit assignment. I am glad you are giving us the opportunity to do this, cause I need to do it.

Today's Class 11-17-09

Today in class we took a test. I thought that I did pretty good on it. Knowing Mr. Schick's tests, I thought it was going to be a little harder. I am glad that it was easy. Hopefully I got a good grade so I can keep that 100%. The test was on North America, and I took lots of good notes. I studied my notes and his PowerPoint. That seemed to help when I was taking the test. After class we had a assembly. I almost made honor roll. I had one 76%, not in Human Geo though. haha

North America Essay

North America is a country that contains fifty states. All the states have their own different products, points of view, and development of their state. These different things come together to make one huge economy and social development. Economy and social development is the way a state or country is building its way of life. The economy is the source of all the money and financial means. It also takes care of all the different exports and imports. The government and the President run the economy to make sure it is best suitable for the people and the country. Another thing that the economy does is keeping track of all the money that the country gains, loses, and gives to the people. People make the economy. They are the ones that make the money, jobs, and sell things so the economy gets better. Many people make their money. Economy applies to the US in a big way. Without the economy, everyone would be poor, and have not jobs. “Also, 335 million people consume huge quantities of global resources but also produce some of the world’s most sought-after manufactured goods and services.” This statement leads me to talk about how your social development has grown a lot throughout the years. Social development is when the people and technology develop to a higher level, and produce changes in the aspects of the people. North America’s technology has grown through the roof since the last 20 years. There has been extreme improvement in our technology. The technology also brings in profits for the people and economy. We have developed computers, cell phones, better agriculture, transportation, etc. Without the social development of the people there would be nothing. The people are the ones that make up everything; they are the people that run the program. Social development can also be associated with the actual people. Social development is the interaction between the people and how they react to others and their community. If this increases than there is going to be more social development throughout the people. Immigrants will come and bring their resources with them and help their new home. Also, the economy can lead to social ups and downs. The ups are that the economy can make people rich or poor. Rich people benefit from the economy more than the poor do. Either way economic and social development takes part in the building of North America.
