The Demographic Transition
"The Demographic Transition is a model of a four stage conceptualization that tracks changes in birthrates and death rates through time as a population urbanizes." This shows what the population is because of all the new technology in the World. It also shows what the population will be like in some years. All the huge countries will millions of people are urban and have technology. These models show the birthrates, death rates, natural increase, etc. This transition is also used to see what the population will be like because of now. There are many stages to this demographic transition, stage 1,2,3, and 4. "Stage 1 is the birthrates, death rates and the natural increase of population." "Stage 2 is death rates that decrease while the birthrates increase, this makes higher RNI." "Stage 3 is is when the people realize the impact on the population because of the industry." "Finally, stage 4 is when there is very low birth and death rates causing there to be a RNI. All the larger and richer countries are in stage 4." I believe that industry and technology can effect population. I think that because if there is bigger and better technology than people will not want to share, making them only care for themselves, this will lead to not children. With less natural increase of people there is also a decreasing population because old people are dying. More and more people die because of health problems because there are so many fast food restaurants and fattening foods. Also, people work dangerous jobs. All these things play a role in either the increase or decrease of population.
