Venezuela's Population Pyramid

I compared Venezuelas population pryramid to the US's population pyramid. The deveolped country is the US and the deveolping country is Venezuela. For the US the fertility rate is ok, its about 10 million. The percent of young people from 35 and younger is around 11 million people. For the older people, 40 and older, it starts from 11 million, and then goes down to 0. So, you can see that the population is decreasing when you start to go up the chart to the older people. I think the natural increase is slow because the most people are from 45 to 50. People that age do not have kids. There is a low amount of young people and maybe some of them do not even want to have kids, making the population decrease. Now to Venezuela,its fertility rate is very hih because there are about 1.3 million young people. That means at young ages people are having babies. The percentage of young people are around 11 million people. That is good for the country because its still deveolping and they have people to do jobs. The percentage of old people are similar to the US's old people population. Venezuela's old population is from .9 million to 0. The population is decreasing like the US. Also, unlike the US the natural increase is faster than America. There are many young people and children, showing that many young couples want children so they can help they family. By doing that it is increasing the population.

In the population pyramid for Venezuela in the year of 2009 shows that there are more young men than young women. As the graph goes on it shows that there are more older women than older men. The most women in Venezuela are actually children, these children are the ages of ten.So, the highest percentage of girls in Venezuela are 10 years old. There are about 1.3 million girls that are 10 years old in Venezuela. When we go over to the men, its the same thing, there are more young people than old people. Just like the women, the highest percentage of men are actually boys at the age of 10. When you get to the top of the chart, you will see that it percentages are decreasing by alot. The smallest percentages are at the ages of 85 and above. In America women have a higher percentage of life expectancy. This is because women go to the doctor more and they don't have as dangerous jobs as men do, keeping them safer. Unlike the US, Venezuela has a higher percent of men to life longer. Men can live up to 100, but it is a very small percent. All this information is from the year of 2009.

I also looked at a population graph from twenty years from now. In the year of 2029, the graphs are very very similar. From the boys to girls, the estimates are almost identical. For the men ages from 20 to 30 have the same amount of people. For the women from ages of 0 to 10 have about the same amount of people too. The women always have a little more people than the men, but the men have a longer life expectancy. Its very interesting to see that every graph I've seen the older population always decreases and there is always alot more young people.
