Today's Class 9/18/09

Today's class was about deveolping and already deveolped countries. We figured out why people in Africa have millions of young kids than US, and why women have kids at such a young age. We said that people in the US can support themselves and do not have to put the kids to work to help the family get food or do household jobs. In Africa, the families cannot support themselves, so they have to have kids at young ages just to get food, keep up the household, etc. They use the kids to do work and try to get money for the family. Also, that there are many old people and more young people, showing that the natural increase will increase beacuse the old people will die and the young people will have the kids. We also talked about the death rate, the birth rate, and the people that leave the country. The birth and death rate will equal eachother out.
